Erihna Peter, age 55, of Alta, Iowa, died on Friday, April 26, 2019, at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake, Iowa.

Erihna Peter, a daughter of Ernest and Aspel (Jim) Peter, was born on September 6, 1963, in Micronesia. Growing up, she attended Danpei Sokehs Powe, a local Micronesian school. After moving to the United States in 1996, she lived in Reno, Nevada, before relocating to Alta in 2009 to be closer to her family. She had been blessed with one daughter, Nikita.

In her free time, Erihna liked spending time with her sisters and grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing and shopping. When at home, she liked calling her sisters, nieces, and nephews on social media, but mostly, she liked watching movies and playing games on her phone.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Nikita Peter (Joshua Meninzor); her sisters: Erlihna, of Alta, Iowa, Nancy and Luhpy, both of Micronesia, Lara, of Texas, and Becky, of Storm Lake, Iowa; and her grandchildren: Joshten, Joshleen, and Nikkeia Meninzor. Erihna was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Aspel Peter; her brothers, Paul and Roby Peter; and her sister, Ihna.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Storm Lake. Visitation will take place for one hour before the service at the church. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Alta is in charge of arrangements.
