February 9, 1947 - April 13, 2019Myron Nourse, age 72, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on Saturday, April 13, 2019, at the Methodist Manor Retirement Community in Storm Lake.
Myron Eugene Nourse, a son of Sawyer and Olive (Mullins) Nourse, was born on February 9, 1947, in Storm Lake, Iowa. He attended grade school and high school in Storm Lake, graduating from Storm Lake High School in 1965. Next, he enrolled at Buena Vista University where he earned a teaching degree in 1969. Later, he completed a master’s degree at Drake University in 1987. He, subsequently, spent his career teaching at various schools around Iowa and South Dakota.
After retiring, Myron enjoyed volunteering at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center. The past couple years, however, while living at Lake Pointe Villa, he, especially, enjoyed playing cards with the other residents.
Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Sharon (Tom) Kruchten, of Firestone, Colorado; his niece, Jennifer (Justin) Bowser; his nephew, Chris (Angie) Mallory; great-niece, Ashlyn Mallory; and his great-nephew, Mason Mallory; as well as extended family members and friends. Myron was preceded in death by his parents.
No services will be held at this time. Burial will follow in the Storm Lake Cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is overseeing the arrangements.
