Marcella A. Radke, age 94, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on Monday, March 11, 2019, at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.

Marcella Ann Sievers, a daughter of W. H. and Anna (Griffel) Sievers, was born on January 24, 1925, in Grant Township, Buena Vista County. A lifelong Lutheran baptized on February 15, 1925, and confirmed on April 10, 1938, at Zion Lutheran Church, she attended Zion Lutheran School. On March 10, 1946, she married Harry Radke at Zion Lutheran Church. To their union, a daughter was born, Joan Radke. While farming in Hanover, they became members of St. John’s Lutheran Church. Upon retiring in 1983, they moved to Storm Lake and joined Grace Lutheran Church.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Joan Radke, of Storm Lake; her niece, Lorene (Lyle) Letsche, and family; and her sister-in-law, Doris Sievers; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Marcella was preceded in death by her parents, W. H. and Anna; her husband, Harry; her siblings: Paulina (Julius) Bumann; Lea Schramm; Fred (Leona), W. E. (Dora), Martin (Dorothy), and Wayne Sievers; Laverna (William) Kruse; Viola (Ernest) Hogrefe; and Eldona (Arvie) and Evelyn (Wendolin) Nehring; and an infant sister, Jeanette Sievers; Harry’s siblings: an infant sister, Florence Radke; Verna (Walter) Sump; Arthur (Ruth), Edgar (Lavonne), and Marvin (Dorothy) Radke; and Lorene (Louis) Schuelke.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Storm Lake. Burial will follow in the Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery in Storm Lake. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
