Dorothy Alice Fast, age 96, of Storm Lake, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at the Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsburg, Iowa.

Dorothy was born on December 25, 1921, to Lester & Lily (Sommers) Wright. After graduating from high school in Quimby, Iowa, she married Charles Edward Fast. Four children: Judy (Bill) DePue, of Cylinder, Iowa, Dennis Fast, of Early, Iowa, Kathy Eisenbacher, of Fostoria, Iowa, and Lyle (Julie) Fast, of Storm Lake, Iowa, were born to their union. A homemaker and farmwife, Dorothy loved to crochet, cook, and bake. In addition, she enjoyed reading.

Besides her children, she is, also, survived by nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and two great, great grandchildren; and two brothers: Russell (Lola) Wright, of Spencer, Iowa, and Don (Joan) Wright, of Jefferson, Iowa; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers (Gene & Vern), two sisters (Norma & Edna); a daughter-in-law, Betty Fast; and a son-in-law, Richard Eisenbacher.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, Iowa.
