BRYAN DIES FROM WOUNDS
STORM LAKE MAN, ALTHOUGH
CONSCIOUS REFUSES TO
REVEAL MYSTERYSpecial to the Daily Nonpareil
STORM LAKE, Ia. Feb 7. – A. L. Bryan, who shot himself just before noon today, died last night, without giving any reason for his action, although he regained consciousness several times. People of the city are absolutely at a loss to account for the deed, as he was at peace with all men, with his family, and his financial affairs are in excellent shape, and he has no physical difficulties. The three bullets all went into the body above the heart, but were so close together that the breast was terribly lacerated. Physicians thought for a time that he might live. The deceased man was about 66 years of age. He lived on a farm near Early since the early days, and moved to this city about twelve years ago to retire. He has been prominent in Masonic circles. He leaves no family excepting his wife.
