Robert Matthew Carstens
October 31, 1968 - March 1, 2018

Robert Carstens, 49, of Holstein, formerly of Quimby, died on March 1, 2018, among the farmlands that he loved to tend.

Born on October 31, 1968, to Dot and Bob Carstens in Cherokee, Iowa, Rob graduated from Willow High School in 1987. He had two children, his girlfriend, and her sons that he loved more than anything. He enjoyed farming, especially at calving time. Outside of farm work, Rob enjoyed cooking, fishing, helping with St. Mary’s Booster Club, and spending time with family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his two children, Connor and Courtney; his parents, Dot and Bob; his brothers, Todd and John and John's wife, Megan, and their two kids, Kipton and Kennedi; and his girlfriend, Amy Peuse, and her sons, Abraham, Jack, and Jonathan. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Alice Todd and Ernie and Hilda Carstens and an uncle, Joseph Carstens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Schools in Storm Lake.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 10, 2018, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake, Iowa.

OFFICIATING: Father Michael Cronin
VISITATION: Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the church.
INTERMENT: Quimby Cemetery, Quimby, Iowa.
