Annetta M. Bumann, age 90, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on December 21, 2017, at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.

Annetta Marjorie Meyer, a daughter of William and Lena (Sieg) Meyer, was born on August 14, 1927, in Holstein, Iowa. Baptized and later confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Holstein, she attended school in Cushing, Iowa, graduating from Cushing High School. On January 21, 1953, she married Luverne Bumann at the United Methodist Church in Holstein. Subsequently, they were blessed with four children: Steven, Karen, Janet, and Kevin.

Annetta and Luverne enjoyed taking many bus trips after Luverne retired. Together, they traveled all over the United States, visiting all fifty states except Delaware, Hawaii, and Alaska. Annetta treasured spending time in her garden and loved flowers. She would spend Saturday mornings with family and friends, enjoying coffee, breakfast, and fellowship. In her spare time, she relished reading an enjoyable book or watching adorable children of all ages. Indeed, she truly loved children, and they loved her back. Annetta treasured spending time with family, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Steve (Deb) Bumann, of Pierre, South Dakota, Karen Bumann, of Storm Lake, Iowa, Janet Schneider, of Storm Lake, Iowa, and Kevin (Dana) Bumann, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; her grandchildren: Aaron (Erin), Bergen, Brian, Caleb, Emma, Joseph, and Michael (Kimmie) Bumann; as well as Elizabeth (Chris) Larson; her great grandchildren: Calvin Bumann and Nolan and Sloane Larson; and her sister, Aleene Johnson, of Temple, Texas; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Annetta was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lena Meyer; her husband, Luverne Bumann; her son-in-law, Ray Schneider; and nine brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake. Burial will follow in the Holstein Cemetery in Holstein, Iowa. Visitation will take place during the hour before the service at the church. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is overseeing the arrangements.
