M. M. HARRISON, 63, RITES SET FRIDAY — AT STORM LAKE CHURCH

Merrill M. (Bill) Harrison, 63, Storm Lake resident the last 12 years and former longtime Maurice resident, died unexpectedly at his Storm Lake home Wednesday morning, as reported in Wednesday's Daily Sentinel. He had been in ill health the last several years.

Mr. Harrison was born May 26, 1890, at Pacific Junction, Iowa. He later lived a short time in Sioux City before moving with his parents to Maurice, where he grew to young manhood. He attended schools at Maurice and Orange City.

Following army service in world war 1, Mr. Harrison was employed by the Railway Express agency in Sioux City, where he remained until becoming an agent for the firm's Storm Lake office in 1947.

He retired in 1949 be¬cause of ill health. He married Miss Amanda Becker June 6, 1923, at Le Mars. Mr. Harrison was a well-known amateur and semi-professional baseball player in northwest Iowa in his younger years and later umpired for many years at the old stockyards ballpark in Sioux City. He was a former manager of the well-known Le Mars Oriole s club in the 1920's.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Maralyn Clough of Storm Lake; a son, Dean, of Minneapolis; several grandchildren; a brother, Dr. Clint of Salt Lake City; two sisters, Mrs. Marion Conley of Sioux Falls and Mrs. Myrna Isaacson of Sioux City, and the mother, Mrs. J. C. Harrison of Sioux City.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Mark Lutheran church at Storm Lake. Burial will be at Storm Lake
