DeLoss "De" Rench
December 8, 1943 - May 10, 2017

DeLoss "De" Rench, 73, passed away on May 10, 2017, at his home in Thornton, Colorado. DeLoss was born on December 8, 1943, in Clovis, New Mexico, while his father was stationed there in the Army. The first born of nine children, he attended Sac City High School, graduating with the class of 1962. After graduating and receiving extensive training, he became licensed in cosmetology, which quickly became his life's passion. On November 8, 1969, he married Marilyn, his loving wife of forty-eight years, in Jefferson, Iowa. Subsequently, they had four beautiful children.

De, then, became a proud business owner after opening the first full-service hair salon in Storm Lake, Iowa: Salon DeLoss. While maintaining his good reputation, he could, easily, help his clients to look beautiful and to feel exhilarated. Working at two separate salons in and around Thornton, Colorado, he continued to demonstrate his strong work ethic right up until the time of his quadruple bypass surgery in March 2017.

DeLoss enjoyed street rods, corvettes, and car shows. In addition, he liked playing cards with friends and family, dancing, and spending time with his lovely family. The very definition of a social butterfly, he had a unique way of connecting with people. Many will, forever, remember his enticing sense of humor and contagious laughter. He will be, greatly, missed by so many.

DeLoss is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Rench; his four children: Nichole Rench (Tyrone) Wilson, of Thornton, Colorado, Lisa Rench, of Thornton, Colorado, Anthony Rench, of Denver, Colorado, and Teresa Rench (Eric Hansgaard), of Loveland, Colorado; his grandchildren: Lauren and Ryan Hansgaard; Jace and Jessica Rench: and Keenan and Keisha Wilson; his siblings: Marilyn Gerry, of Sac City, Iowa, Danny Rench, of Milbank, South Dakota, Jane Bennett, of Sac City, Iowa, Jerry Rench, of Burleson, Texas, Kathy Martin, of Sac City, Iowa, Tom Rench, of Omaha, Nebraska, Bill Rench, of Sac City, Iowa, and Donny Rench, of Norwalk, Iowa.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Horan & McConaty Funeral Service, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, Colorado 80229.
