Lois Marie Endersbe
(February 3, 1936 - January 29, 2017)

Lois (McDonald) Endersbe, age 80, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a nine-year battle with the Alzheimer's disease.

Born on February 3, 1936, to Leo and Helen McDonald in Emmetsburg, Iowa, she graduated from Alta High School in 1954 with her future husband, Bob. Subsequently, she earned a teaching degree from Buena Vista College, Storm Lake, Iowa, in 1956. At age 19, she landed her first full-time teaching job. Over the years, she taught in Marathon, Storm Lake, Danbury, and Rockwell City in Iowa and in Rochester, New Ulm, and Farmington in Minnesota. She did, however, take time off from teaching to raise her family, but she returned to the classroom on and off for thirty years.

Lois devoted her life to her family, who turned to her often for her love and strong counsel. She greeted everyone with the same wonderful smile, kind words, and a listening ear. After they retired, she and Bob wintered in Las Vegas and Palm Desert, California, for many years. Their summers, however, they spent at their lake cabin in Wisconsin.

Lois made friends with everyone she met including with the workers and residents at the Brookdale of Eagan, Dementia Alzheimer's Center, where she resided for the past fourteen months. Her family, nieces, nephews, and friends will continue to count the many blessings she brought into their lives.

A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 3, 2017, at St. Thomas Becket Catholic Church, 4455 S. Robert Tr., Eagan, with visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 2, 2017, at the White Funeral Home, 20134 Kenwood Tr. (Co. Rd. 50), Lakeville, Minnesota (952-469-2723), and for one hour before the Mass at church. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. Memorials may be given in Lois’s name to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Bill and Bob, Lois is survived by Bob, her husband of fifty-eight years; her children, Thomas (Lisa), Mick (Beth), Mary (Lyndon), and Scott (Brenda); her sister, Mary Helen (Art), of Branson, Missouri; her sisters-in-law, Deanna and Kathy; thirteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
