Pamela (Slater) Meske
December 17, 1954 - October 28, 2016

Pamela (Slater) Meske, age 61, of Omaha, Nebraska, formerly of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on Friday, October 28, 2016, in Sioux City.

Pamela Sue Slater, a daughter of George and Cleora (Meseck) Slater, was born on December 17, 1954, in Storm Lake. Baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Storm Lake, she, also, attended school in Storm Lake, graduating in 1973. After her confirmation, she continued to serve the Lord faithfully by playing the organ at church and teaching Sunday school.

Blessed with two children, Angie and Neil, from her first marriage, Pam was always a devoted mother. A homemaker her entire life, she created a warm and safe place for her family to live and grow. On February 3, 1995, she married Ky Meske in Elk Pointe, South Dakota. Throughout, her strong faith and love for her family was evident.

Pam’s interests included: spending time with her cats, reading books, sewing, cooking, biking, and walking. The holidays had a very special meaning for her, giving her lots of decorating and allowing her time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Ky Meske, of Omaha, Nebraska; her daughter, Angie Jesse, of Lone Tree, Colorado; her son, Neil (Kristina) Jesse, and his children, Alanna and Ashlynn of Castle Rock, Colorado; her father, George Slater, of Pleasant Hill, Iowa; her brothers, Steve Slater, of Denison, Iowa, and Stuart (Audrey) Slater, of Port St. Lucie, Florida; her sisters, Deb (Allen) Jensen, of Huxley, Iowa, and Sheryl (Ken) Rogalski, of Hoffman Estates, Illinois; and her brother-in-law, Arlan (Janet) Meske, of Farragut, Iowa; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Pamela was preceded in death by her mother, Cleora; and her sister-in-law, Sandi Slater.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Storm Lake. Burial will follow in the Storm Lake Cemetery. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
