STORM LAKE PILOT TRIBUNE - Fri, Feb 20, 1920 - Funeral services for Charles August Swan of Moline, formerly of Storm Lake, was held Friday afternoon from the Lakeside Presbyterian church thence to the Storm Lake cemetery.

The deceased was born in Stromstadt, Sweden in 1840. He was educated in Sweden and practiced law for some time at Stromstadt until he came to America.

He was united in marriage to Miss Hannah Christina Larson in Galesburg, IL. To this union were born 8 children, two of whom died in infancy.

The couple resided for a great many years on a farm northeast of Storm Lake. A year following Mrs Swan's death in 1911, Mr Swan and family moved to Moline, where they had since resided.

Death occurred on Tuesday morning Feb 10, at the family residence in Moline and followed a four months illness with paralysis.

The survivors are 6 children: two sons: William H of Storm Lake and Franklin F of Gooding, Idaho; four daughters: Mrs Ed Bock of Storm Lake; Belle, Addie, and Grace of Moline, IL.
