STORM LAKE BUENA VISTA VIDETTE - Fri, Jun 25, 1915 - Mrs D.S. Spragg, a resident of Buena Vista county since 1872, died after a long illness of paralysis, departing this life about 8 on Tuesday morning at her home in this city. For about 4 years she has been a helpless invalid and her death came as a relief from her suffering.

Thankful Eliza Andrews was born in Ashtabula county, Ohio March 9, 1842 and received her education in Oberlin college. She taught school in the states of Ohio and Iowa.

On Nov 19, 1865 she was united in marriage to D.S. Spragg, who survives. Three children were born to this union: Lona F Spragg, who departed this life April 9, 1911 and Mrs Inis E Miller, and Ray S Spragg, who survive their mother.

The family moved from Buchanan county to Buena Vista county in 1872 and lived on their farm near Albert City until 1897 when they moved to Storm Lake and where they have lived continuously.

The funeral services were held at 2 on Thursday afternoon followed by a service at the Methodist Episcopal church.
