Storm Lake Pilot-Tribune - Thu, Nov 7, 1946 - William L Sedgley was born on a farm near Kentland, IN on Nov 8, 1874 and passed away at Storm Lake on Oct 29, 1946. He had resided in the Storm Lake community 50 years. He graduated from Indiana University and the law school at Northwestern University.
Mr Sedgley married Clara Schaller at Storm Lake. Mrs Sedgley and their son, Clarence, died in the following few years. In the general mercantile business with J.W. Marshall of Storm Lake, Mr Sedgley was forced to give up the business because of the confinement. He was also engaged in business as a drainage engineer. Following the close of his store affiliation he engaged in farming in Grant township near Storm Lake.
Mr Sedgley was married to Clara Cochran. To this union were born 5 children: Murray, in service at Alexandria VA; Alden who resides on a farm near Storm Lake; Robert stationed on Guam; Miss Elizabeth Sedgley of West Plains, MO; and Paul, who preceded his father. Mrs Sedgley also died a number of years ago.
Surviving are the children; one sister, Mrs Grace Marshall of Storm Lake; and one brother, Wirt Sedgley of Los Angeles.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon. Interment was in the Storm Lake cemetery.
