Kent Lynn Reskie
November 29, 1956 - May 26, 2016

Kent Lynn Reskie, a son of Charles Burdette and Darleen (Olson) Reskie was born on November 29, 1956, in Storm Lake, Iowa. He spent his childhood years in Marathon, Iowa, where he received his education, graduating from high school there in 1975. Next, he went to work at Great Lakes Concrete in Spencer, Iowa.

In his free time, Kent loved to taking off on his Harley, enjoying the great outdoors, and working outside.

On May 26, 2016, however, he lost his four week bout with cancer at the Spencer Hospital at age 59.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Burdette Reskie; one brother, Steven Reskie, of Webb, Iowa; and one grandson of Sheldon.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Beth; his sons, Zion (Dawn), of Sheldon, and Seth, of Spencer, Iowa; his grandsons, Leighlynd and Gavin, of Sheldon, Iowa, and Lennon, of Spencer, Iowa; his mother, Darleen Reskie, of Le Mars, Iowa; his sister, Angie (Denny) Nemmers, of Le Mars, Iowa; one niece and two nephews and their families, also of Le Mars, Iowa; his sister-in-law, Fran, of Webb, Iowa; his niece of Sibley, Iowa; three brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews from eastern Iowa; as well as countless friends and coworkers and his beloved dog, Ozzy.

A celebration of life, per his wishes, will be held at a later date. Memorial funds may be mailed to the house.
