STORM LAKE PILOT - Nov 20, 1884 - The subject of this obituary was born Nov. 5th, 1866, at Waukon, Allamakee county, Iowa. She was married to Mr. F.W. Opperman Jan. 28th, 1884. She departed this life Nov. 14th, 1884, at the residence of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.G. Pratt, of this city.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. C.A. McMannis, pastor of the Baptist church.

Thus in eighteen short years the horizon of her life was spanned, and the tiny form clasped to her heart even in death told the sweet, sad story of her sacrificial motherhood.
