Storm Lake Buena Vista Vidette - Mar 10, 1916 - Peter Mills was born on April 12, 1850 in Ohio and died at Storm Lake March 6th, 1916 age 65, 10 months, and 25 days.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, Mrs Peter Mills; three sons and two daughters: Sam, John, and Bosty Mills, Mrs George North and Mrs Allen Samsel, who all reside in this city. He also leaves one brother and one sister: Mr Will Mills and Mrs Frank Christopher of Mt Vernon, Ohio.

Mr Mills came with his parents to Iowa in 1880 settling in Buena Vista county near Storm Lake and has lived here ever since.

He was married September 2nd, 1882 to Miss Barbara Kaufman. She was a daughter of Mr and Mrs Frank Kaufman, Sr and one of Storm Lakes oldest settlers. Mr Mills has been failing in health for the past eight years.

Funeral services were held at the home on Wednesday afternoon. Interment was made in the Storm Lake cemetery.
