Storm Lake Pilot Tribune - Oct 14, 1904 - Mrs Belle Seymour, who has been a resident of Buena Vista county for more than 30 years, passed from this life Tuesday afternoon at the home of her son, H.J. Leyson of Sioux Rapids. Mrs Seymour was stricken with paralysis last Saturday and was unconscious up to the time of her death.
Mrs Seymour was born in Wales 58 years ago and came to this country more than 30 years ago and came to this county immediately where she has since lived. She has always been a very retiring disposition but was a woman of beautiful character and loved by all who knew her.
During her long residence in the vicinity of Alta, Storm Lake, and Sioux Rapids, she has won the esteem and love of all who have known her on account of her excellent qualities.
She leaves to sons to mourn: H.G. Leyson of Sioux Rapids and Arthur Leyson of Peterson.
Short funeral services were held at the Leyson home in Sioux Rapids Wednesday afternoon conducted by Rev Holbrook, after which the remains were brought to this city and to the home of Mrs J.E. Metcalf, where the funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Thursday morning. Interment was made in the Storm Lake cemetery.
