Storm Lake Register - Apr 29, 1930 - J.A. Klein, resident of Storm Lake and this county for many years, died at his home on Hudson street last Thursday April 24th at the age of 85 years. Mr Klein had been in ill health for a long time.

John Angus Klein was born Jan 3, 1845 in Solvenburg, Sweden and came to this country Nov 1st, 1854 locating in New York. Later he went to Chicago where he was united in marriage to Miss Sophia Frederika Anderson.

Mr and Mrs Klein lived in Chicago from 1873 to 1875 when they moved to Alta, Iowa. In 1883 they moved to Kentucky and from there went to Pennsylvania moving from there to Storm Lake in 1885. They moved to Canada in 1911 where they lived until 1922 returning at that time to their home in Storm Lake. During his long residence in Storm Lake and Buena Vista county, Mr Klein became well known and was held in highest regard in the community.

He leaves to mourn his death his wife and four children: Landen O Klein of Storm Lake; George D Klein of Maidstone, Sack, Canada; Chester A Klein of Kindersley, Sask., Canada; and Mrs Nora Klein Sanborn of Drinkwater, Sask., Canada. Also 7 grandchildren and a number of nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held from Lakeside Presbyterian church Monday afternoon and burial was in the local cemetery.
