Storm Lake Register - Apr 8, 1930 - Mrs W.W. Kerlin expired Saturday evening at the age of 68. She had long been a sufferer from ill health.

Mrs W.W. Kerlin, resident of Storm Lake for 47 years and one of the city's best known and beloved women, died at her home 223 Lake Avenue, Saturday evening about 9:30 at the age of 58. Mrs Kerlin had been in ill health for a number of years and had been receiving treatment at Rochester, MN for some time. She returned last Tuesday from Rochester and the following day contracted pneumonia, which resulted in her death.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs S.P. McMakin, a grandson, Kerlin Carroll, and a great grandson, the son of Mr and Mrs Kerlin Carroll, born Sunday morning a few hours after Mrs Kerlin's death. Also two sisters, Emma Underwood and Olive Underwood both of Denver, CO.

Funeral services were held from Lakeside Presbyterian church Tuesday afternoon. Burial was in the local cemetery. She is a descendant of the Mayflower.
