Storm Lake Pilot - April 7, 1880 - Horace R Child, residing a few miles northwest of Storm Lake, died yesterday at 4:30 a.m. after a brief illness. He came to this county four years ago and was in every way a worthy man and good citizen.

H.W. Child, now of Nebraska and Sarah Child, teacher in the public schools of this city, are his children, while others reside in other parts of the Union. The deceased was a native of Vermont and in his 63rd age, having been born in 1828.

The funeral will take place tomorrow (Thursday) at the Methodist church at Alta.
