Storm Lake Pilot - July 3, 1878 - Some dispute having arisen in regard in the diagnosis of the case of W.P. Holmes of Hayes township, who died recently. Dr. Hillway the attending physician, sent the stomach to the Hahnemann Medical College, Chicago, for examination. The following reply was received yesterday.

Chicago, IL June 24, 1878 - C.A. Hillway, M.D. Storm Lake: I sent back to you the stomach you sent me for examination. I never saw a finer specimen of sclerosis? than it presented under the microscope. I showed the specimen to Prof Von Tagen and Dr Laning. Von Tagen said it was unquestionable sclerosis? in character. Your diagnosis was therefore perfectly correct and nothing could have saved the life of the patient. W.J. Hawker
