Nov 29, 1945 - Mason City Globe - Nashua — Mrs. H.C. Scheu received word Wednesday that her cousin, James J. Harker, died at Estherville and that the funeral was to be held there Thursday with interment at Storm Lake.

Mr. Harker was born Oct. 9, 1870, and was married to Miss Ida Pettit, who with one daughter, Nora Marie, survives. In 1901, he entered the partnership with W.C. Kitchen in the dry goods business here, later the firm annexing a grocery store. Twelve years later they discontinued business and he went to Estherville to live where he owned the lumber and coal business. Mr. and Mrs. Scheu attended the funeral services.
