Nannie E. Anderson
April 23, 1897 - April 4, 1981Nannie Eleanor Anderson, daughter of Axel Victor and Delia Mathilda Anderson, was born at Albert City on April 23. 1897. Baptized on July 23, 1897, and confirmed March 26, 1911, she remained a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church until her death.
Anderson spent her entire life in the Albert City community. In 1947, she and her sister, Ethel, moved from the farm to town where she lived until Ethel’s death in 1948. In 1949, she entered the Pleasant View Home where she resided until her death on April 4, 1981, at the age of 83.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ada, (Mrs. Harry Swanson) and Ethel, of Albert City; two brothers-in-law, George E. Anderson, of Albert City, and Lawrence E. Crone, of Sibley.
Her survivors include one brother, Clarence, and his wife, Inez, of Albert City; two sisters, Mrs. L. E. (Pearl) Crone, of Sibley, Mrs. George R. (Marian) Anderson, of Albert City; one brother-in-law, Harry Swanson, of Albert City; and two nephews, Norman Swanson, of Cedar Falls, and Gary L. Anderson, and his wife, Chris, of Gloucester, Virginia; along with other relatives.
Services were held April 7, 1981, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Albert City, with the Rev. Donald Anderson officiating. Music was provided by Mrs. Gene McLaughlin, organist, and Sam Aronson, vocalist.
Pallbearers were Eldon Erlandson, Kermit Schultze, Jay Erlandson, Lester Schultze, Darwin Johnson, and Lynn Johnson.
Interment was in the Fairfield Cemetery at Albert City under the direction of the Sliefert Funeral Home, Albert City.
