Peter Anderson
[June 25, 1837 – January 25, 1907]*

The Pioneer is authority for the statement that Peter Anderson, living six miles west of that town, fell down stairs on last Friday [February 1, 1907] and was instantly killed. He has lived in that vicinity many years and was held in high esteem. He was a veteran of the Civil war.

[His gravestone records his birth year as 1839. His cemetery records, however, say 1837. This death notice was printed on February 8, 1907. One week earlier ("last Friday") would have been February 1. Cemetery records, however, say he died a week before that one January 25.] Transcriber's note.
