Sheri Hallett
October 31, 1954 - June 6, 2015

Sheri Ann Hallett was born on October 31, 1954, in Sioux Rapids, Iowa, to Elwyn and Mary Peterson. She spent her early years in Marathon, Iowa, and later moved to Spencer where she graduated in 1972.

Sheri met Richard Hallett in 1967 at the age of thirteen, and they have been together ever since. They married on June 9, 1973, in Sacred Heart Church of Spencer. Following their marriage, Sheri worked at various jobs until she had her first child. Then, she became a stay at home mom for both her boys. In addition, she would help in the family construction business over the many years. After she rejoined the work force, she worked for Cadre in Royal and later for the Spencer Schools, a job she very much enjoyed.

Sheri had many hobbies including gardening, photography, crafting, reading, and teaching although her family brought her the most joy in life. She loved her children, her husband, and her grandchildren above all else, and anyone who ever met her, didn't have to spend much time around her to know that.

Sheri passed away at Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, grandparents, and several uncles and aunts.

She is survived by her husband, Richard, of Spencer; their children Tony Hallett, and his children, Jake and Alexa; and Corey (Amanda) Hallett, and their children, Trenton and Taytym, all of Spencer; her sister, Lori (Lance) Lundbeck, of Royal; and her brother, Jerry (Georganna) Peterson, of Fostoria; as well as by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and many, many friends.
