June 9, 1945 - May 18, 2015

Homsanith Phomsavanh, age 69, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on Monday, May 18, 2015, at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.

Homsanith Phomsavanh, a son of Bounma and Home Phomsavanh was born on June 9, 1945, in Laos. Homsanith was a proud member of the Laotian community.His favorite hobby was reading. He also enjoyed teaching and gardening. Most of all, however, he loved spending time with his family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Khammy Satibanchong; his children: Becky Sati and Chanthachone and Phaivanh Satibanchong, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Gina, Nalee, and Phonevilay Sati, of Storm Lake, Iowa, and Chanthala Satibanchong and Philavanh Satibanjong, also of Storm Lake, Iowa; his grandchildren: Kaily and Kenji Sati; and Ace, Adrien, Akai, August, Brittney, Calvin, Christina, Douglas, Kayshaun, Keira, and Kenny Satibanchong; and his great-grandchildren: Avery, Leon, and Rye; as well as extended family members and friends. Homsanith was preceded in death by his parents.

Traditional Buddhist rites will be held Saturday, May 23, 2015, at 12:30 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 21, 2015, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and again on Friday, May 22, 2015, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
