Hank Bohe
April 14, 1964 - May 1, 2015Hank Bohe, age 51, of Albert City, Iowa, died on May 1, 2015, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, where he was undergoing intensive care.
Born April 14, 1964, in Bismarck, North Dakota, Hank Bohe attended school at Century High School in North Dakota where he earned his diploma. He, then, furthered his education at Bismarck Junior College, graduating with a degree in Auto-Body Mechanics.
In 1989, Hank moved to Iowa. Shortly thereafter, he met Lyn Potratz. They married on April 6, 1991, in Alta, Iowa. Two years later, in 1993, they made their home in Newell where they raised their children Blake Alan, Bradlee James, and Brady Charles.
Hank enjoyed working on cars, fishing, canoeing, and gardening along with many other outdoor activities. He shared this love with all three boys.
Hank took great pride in his children’s achievements and accomplishments while watching them grow into the men they have become. He taught them some most beneficial lifelong lessons: always to do their best working hard at whatever they do and to show respect for others. These traits will be remembered and remain in the hearts of his family, his extended family, and the friends he leaves behind.
Those left to cherish his memory include his three boys: Blake, Bradlee, and Brady, all of Newell, Iowa; his mother, Edna Bohe of Bismarck, North Dakota; his brothers, Jim (Sandy) Bohe, of Bismarck, North Dakota, and Randy (Patty) Bohe of Alta, Iowa; his half-sisters, Sherry and Marcia; his grandson, Kamden; and his nieces, Ty and Stef; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Hank was preceded in death by his father, Henry Fred Bohe, Sr., and his sister, Diane Lynne.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 10, 2015, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
