Marilyn J. Klockow
August 20, 1939 - December 27, 2014A daughter of Arnold Emil and Frieda Anna (Hansen) Klockow, Marilyn Joyce was born on August 20, 1939, in Alta, Iowa. In 1957, she graduated from Brooke Consolidated School. A member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, she taught Sunday school. She enjoyed knitting, embroidering, watching basketball as well as other sports, listening to the news, and discussing politics with her niece, nephews, and their families and keeping abreast of their activities.
Marilyn died on Saturday, December 27, 2014, at the Cherokee Regional Medical Center in Cherokee, Iowa.
Preceding Marilyn in death were her parents; her sister, Margaret Koch; her brother-in-law, Robert Koch; and her brother, Robert Klockow.
Survivors include one niece, Beverly, and her husband, Dale Wordekemper, of Storm Lake, and three nephews: Randy, and his wife, Sharon Koch, of Storm Lake, Ken, and his wife, Cathie Koch, of Knox, Indiana, and Dave, and his wife, Jill Koch, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her great nieces and nephews: Kari, Doug, and his wife, Jill, Lindsey, and her husband, Zach Kroenke, Eric Wordekemper, Jeremiah Koch, Amy, and her husband, Chris Frank, Josh, and his wife, Alaina, Jake, and his wife, Tigre Koch, and Adam and Allison Koch; as well as her great-great nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends.
Funeral services for Marilyn J. Klockow, 75, of Aurelia, will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at 10:30 A.M., at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Aurelia with Pastor Larry Lemke officiating. Burial will take place in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, rural Aurelia. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 30. 2014, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with the family present at the church. The Redig Funeral Home in Aurelia is in charge of arrangements.
