Storm Lake, IowaRobert Hagen Wolverton, age 72, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on Sunday, February 9, 2014, at the Methodist Manor Retirement Community in Storm Lake.
The son of Sylvester and Anna Mae (Mitchell) Wolverton, Robert "Bob" Wolverton was born on March 15, 1941, in Whitehall, Montana. Growing up, he attended school in Whitehall. After graduating from high school, he furthered his education by earning a Pharmacy Degree from the University of Montana.
Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army. During this time, he was stationed in Korea and Germany. He, later, joined the National Guard.
On April 5, 2003, Bob married Koy Sheets.
Bob worked much of his adult life as a hospital pharmacist at the Billings Deaconess Hospital in Billings, Montana.
A member of the Buena Vista Rifle and Pistol Club, the Buena Vista County Historical Society, and the Witter Gallery, Bob, also, loved to travel throughout the United States and beyond.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Koy Wolverton, of Storm Lake, Iowa; his children: Lt. Col. Rob (Mona) Wolverton, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Dr. Kevin Wolverton, of York, Pennsylvania; and his grandchildren: Isaac and Abigail Wolverton, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; as well as extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Anna, and his son, Paul.
Visitation: 5:00-7:00 p.m., February 11, 2014, at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m., February 16, 2014, at K&L Mortuaries in Whitehall, Montana.
