Timothy Wayne Bechtel was born on June 1, 1969, to DeWayne and Marla Bechtel in Alta, Iowa. He attended Schaller High School through the 9th grade. For several years, he worked for IBP in Storm Lake, Iowa, before finding his real love of driving his own truck as an owner/operator. At one time, he also worked at Hubbard Feeds and Godfather’s Pizza.
Tim married Reagan Payne on September 26, 1993, in Alta, Iowa. They had two children, Chaz and Shelby.
Tim had a strong work ethic, but when not working, he especially enjoyed ice fishing, hunting, and cooking for his family and friends. People who knew him will always remember him as caring and always willing to help anyone in need.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, DeWayne. He is survived by his mother, Marla Bechtel, of Alta, Iowa; his son, Chaz Bechtel, of Cherokee, Iowa; his daughter, Shelby Bechtel ,of Auerlia, Iowa; his nephew, Josh Bechtel, of Dallas, Texas; his siblings, Jeannie (Scott) Condon, of Clare, Iowa, Connie Bechtel (fiancé Michael Jarrell), of Nashville, Tennessee, Jodi (Chris) Thevenot, of Alta, Iowa, John (Dawn) Bechtel, of Laurens, Iowa, and Joleene (Chad) Smith, of Fort Dodge, Iowa; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
