Sharon Marie (Cameron) Wilson was born on January 30, 1945, in Sioux City, the daughter of Alva and Midget Cameron. Surrounded by her loving and supportive family, Sharon entered into the arms of her Lord on Thursday, December 1, 2011, at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

Sharon spent her early years in Storm Lake. She graduated from Storm Lake High School with the Class of 1963. On September 19, 1967, she married Robert Wilson in Omaha, Nebraska. Before settling in Shenandoah in 1973, they lived in Eugene, Oregon, Atlantic, and Grinnell.

While living in Shenandoah, Sharon was employed by the Shenandoah School System and later owned the Countryside Floral Shop. For over thirty years, she was also a partner with her husband in the Wilson Insurance Company. She enjoyed working with the public and cherished the many friendships she made over the years.

An active member of the Presbyterian Church, Sharon served as an elder and deacon. She also belonged to the Shenandoah Hospital Auxiliary and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority as well as serving on the Tannenbaum Tea Committee. A giving spirit always willing to help those in need, she touched the hearts of many less fortunate.

Some of her passions included traveling, golfing, gardening, and tending to the home she and Bob had in Florida. Above all else, however, she cared for her family. She was a loving, loyal, and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Her zest for life will always be remembered.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her mother- and father-in-law.

Those left to cherish her memory include Bob Wilson, her husband of forty-four years; her daughter, Stephanie Johnson; her son, Jeff Wilson; her grandchildren, Ali, Mitchell, and Andrew; her brothers, Dennis Cameron, and his wife, Vicki, Wayne Cameron, and his wife, Sandy, and Randy Docken; her sister, Pat Mackey, and her husband, Gary; and her special friends, J.C. and Mary Irvin, John and Diane Kidd, Bill and Jan Billings, Tom and Sue Hanna, Gary and Mary Birdsell, Jim and Jancy Hawke, Sam and Judy Welch, Jim and E.
