Loren D. Peters, age 46, of Springfield, Missouri, and formerly of Alta, Iowa, died Wednesday, November 23, 2011, in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Loren Dean Peters was born December 28, 1964, in Spencer, Iowa, the son of Dean and Karen (Fanning) Peters. He lived with his family and attended schools in Alta, graduating from Alta High School in 1983. Following graduation, Loren attended Iowa Central College in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
On September 1, 1988, Loren married Leesa Stevens in Kearney, Nebraska. This union was blessed with two children: Joshua Paul and Tisha Marie.
Loren worked as a carpenter and also in commercial construction. His hobbies included: camping, hunting, wood working, racing, and snowmobiling. He loved and cherished his family.
Those left to cherish Loren's memory are his wife of twenty-three years, Leesa Peters, of Springfield, Missouri; his son, Joshua Peters, of Springfield, Missouri; his daughter, Tisha Marie Peters, of Ozark, Missouri; his grandchildren: Marissa Lee Peters, Devian James Peters, and Emma Lynn Smith; his mother, Karen Peters, of Columbus, Indiana; his brother, Mitch Peters, of Grand Junction, Colorado; and his sister, Christi Tam, of Columbus, Indiana; as well as extended family and many friends.
Loren was preceded in death by his father, Dean Homer Peters; his grandparents, Homer and Irene Peters; and his daughter-in-law, Tiffany Rose Peters.
Memorial Service: A Time of Remembrance at 7:00 p.m., November 29, 2011, at Scooter's Bar & Grill in Alta, Iowa.
