October 31, 1943 - May 2, 2003

Marilyn J. McDonough, 59, of Carbon Cliff, Illinois, formerly of Storm Lake and Cherokee, passed away May 2, 2003, at Illini Hospital, Silvis, Illinois.

Marilyn J. Stacy was born October 31, 1943, in Ayrshire, the daughter of Vern and Della (Beeks) Stacy. She married first William Flowers in 1963 and then John McDonough in 1971. She was a retired nurse, having worked at Moline Public and Lutheran Hospital, at IBP, at the Joslin Nursing Homes and in private homes.

She loved playing cards with her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed baking and having yard sales. She was a member of the Christian Women's Club and the QC Heart Beats. She was an Avid Chicago Cubs Fan and an Iowa Hawkeyes fan.

Survivors include a daughter, Melissa McDonough, of East Moline, Illinois; a son, Michael McDonough, of East Moline, Illinois; grandchildren, Anthony and Jessica McDonough, of East Moline, Illinois; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Frank Peterson, of Alta, and Jan and Dean Harmon, of East Moline, Illinois; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Phyllis Stacy, of Washington, Missouri, and Ron and Lee Stacy, of Salina, Kansas; three aunts and uncles; 21 nieces and nephews; many cousins and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a sister, Naomi, and a brother, Russell.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the Van Hoe Funeral Home in East Moline. Burial will be in the Moline Memorial Park Cemetery.
