Connie Sue Tysver, 57, of Storm Lake, died January 31, 2003, at home after 14 years of battling with breast cancer.

Connie was born in Doon, on August 12, 1945, to John and Frances (Mann) Keegan where she attended the Doon School and later graduated from Central Lyon in Rock Rapids in 1963. She worked at Aalf's Manufacturing in Sheldon where she met and later married Louis Tysver on February 8, 1964. In 1969, she moved to Storm Lake along with her husband and son, Timothy, where daughter, Tara, and son, Thomas, were born.

Connie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church for over 30 years. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She also served as a church greeter and was on the board for CCD (catechism). Connie was one of the founders for ECHO (cancer support group). She has also played an active role in Relay for Life including serving on the committee for the survivor walk. Connie has worked at Sears, Fareway and the Storm Lake School District.

Survivors include her husband, Louis Tysver, of Storm Lake; son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Cammie Tysver, of Douglasville, Georgia; daughter, Tara Katschman of Des Moines; son, Thomas Tysver of Overland Park, Kansas; grandsons John and Nicholas Tysver of Douglasville, Georgia, and Brady Katschman of Des Moines; mother-in-law, Gertrude Tysver of Sioux City; brother, Jack Keegan and wife Carol of Edina, Minnesota; sister, Janet Wilton and husband Mel of Enid, Oklahoma; brother, Bill Keegan and wife Alyce, of Scottsdale, Arizona; sister, Mary Rosenberg and husband Dean, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; sister-in-law, Dee Keegan of Doon; sister-in-law, Rena Odens and husband Larry, of Gretna, Nebraska; 20 nieces, 11 nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Frances Keegan; sister, Donna Breuer and husband Jim; brother, Patrick Keegan and wife Mary; brother, Joe Keegan and sister-in-law, Renolla Tysver.

Funeral services were held on Monday, February 3, 2003, at St. Mary's Church in Storm Lake with the Reverends Robert Schimmer and Doug Klein, Associate Pastor, officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.
