Charles Ivyl Sheldon, son of Roy and Verna Sheldon was born June 10, 1911 near Benton and passed away at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines on July 27, 1942.

When he was 10 years old the family moved to Sulphur Springs were he graduated with the class of 1929.

On July 21, 1932 he married Amy Thomas of Hampton. They established their home in Albert City where they have lived through the years and established their business of Sheldon Produce.

In 1938 they took Donavon Kent into their home to share their love and joy.

Sharing in the loss are his wife, Amy; son, Donavon; his parents, Mr and Mrs Roy Sheldon of Des Moines; one brother, Harlen of Des Moines; and one sister, Fern who preceded him in death in 1914.

Interment was in Fairfield Cemetery.
