December 1945---After showing apparent improvement following injuries sustained in an automobile collison Sunday afternoon, Mrs. Carrie Bridge age 69, wife of Dr. B.B. Bridge of Albert City suddenly took a turn for the worse and succumbed at Swallum hospital.

Mrs. Bridge suffered a fractured left arm, broken nose, head injuries and multiple cuts in the collision between the Bridge auto and a car driven by Palmer Fjerkenstad of Boyd, MN at the Horlacher corner, five miles north of Storm Lake on Highway 71.

Funeral services will be held in the Methodist Church of Storm Lake and burial at the family lot in the Storm Lake Cemetery.

Carrie was born the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Luke Mayhew of Battersea, Ontario, Canada on July 11, 1877. She was reared and educated in that locality. After her marriage there to Dr. Bridge on Christmas Day, 1899 she and her husband moved to Iowa in 1900 and settled in Albert City and had made that town their home ever since.

Three children were born to Dr.and Mrs.Bridge; B.Lloyd Bridge and Dr. Floyd C. Bridge both of Storm Lake and Madeline (Robert Spragg) of Chicago.
