Gerald Lawrence Lawlor was born at Albert City Jan. 22, 1934. At the age of two his mother preceded him in death. From that time until his fathers re-marriage in 1941, Jerry made his home with his paternal grandparents. Death came to him on July 2, 1952 at the age of 18 years.

The departed is survived by his parents, sisters; Mona Jean, Sharon, and Maurenn, both grandmothers, besides numerous other relatives and friends.

Final rites held at the Mission Covenant Church with the Rev. J.C. Bengston in charge.

A new scoreboard will be erected on the Albert City high school football field this summer, in memory of Jerry Lawlor, 18 year old son of Supt. and Mrs. Wesley Lawlor, who died Thursday of a malignant brain tumor after an illness of 14 months.

Jerry was an all around athlete, had won 12 honor letters when he became ill in the spring of 1951.
