Christine A. Peters - Mar. 8, 1957 - Sept. 13, 2007

Christine A. Peters, age 50, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died Thursday, September 13, 2007, in Storm Lake.

Christine A. Brodsack was born March 8, 1957, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas P. and Jeanne V. (Yetmar) Brodsack. She was baptized into the Catholic faith as an infant at St. Matthew’s Church in Clare. Her family moved to the Storm Lake area and Christine confirmed her faith as a youth at St. Mary’s Church in Storm Lake. Christine received her education in Storm Lake, graduating from Storm Lake High School in 1976.

On September 24, 1977, Christine was united in holy matrimony to Doug Peters in St. Mary’s Church in Storm Lake. The couple was blessed with three children: Chad, Mike and Lindsey.

Christine was a loving wife and devoted mother who kept a warm and comfortable home for her family. She enjoyed bowling, camping, golf, snowmobiling and reading. She was always happy to spend time with her friends. Her family was always her first priority and Christine treasured the time she was able to spend with her husband and children. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 30 years, Doug, of Storm Lake; her son, Chad of Fort Collins, Colorado; her son, Mike, of Laurens, Iowa; and her daughter, Lindsey of Storm Lake; brothers Terry Brodsack of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Art (Pam) Brodsack of Cedar Falls, Iowa; sisters Mary (Randy) Tovar of Austin, Minnesota, and Trish (Jeff) Sauter of Arnolds Park, Iowa; extended family and many friends.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sharon.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 17, 2007, at 10:30 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake with Reverend Bruce Lawler officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

Friends may call from 3:00 – 8:00 pm on Sunday, September 16, 2007, at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake where family will be present from 6-8:00. There will be a Legion of Mary Rosary at 3:30 and a vigil service at 7:00 during visitation hours at the funeral home.
