Death Summons Mrs. Fred SCHROLL at Age of 86

A longtime resident of the Storm Lake community, Mrs. Fred SCHROLL, 86, passed away at the Buena Vista County hospital Tuesday, Oct. 29. Funeral services have been set for 2 p.m. Friday in the Hughes-Nelson funeral home with Dr. Harriosn Dawes of the First United Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in the Storm Lake cemetery.

Mrs. SCHROLL, (Mabel MATSON), came to Buena Vista county in 1889. For many years she and her husband operated a farm in Hayes township.

She is survived by her husband, Fred, a son, Robert; three grandsons, Charles, David and Steven SCHROLL, all of Storm Lake; a brother Charles MATSON, (John Charles MATSON), a resident at Methodist Manor and a sister Mrs. Henry Steig, (Anna MATSON), also a resident of Storm Lake.

Additional information for this family; Mabel MATSON SCHROLL's father was Charles P. MATSON 1847-1918, Civil War veteran, buried in Storm Lake. Mother Anna NATTRESS MATSON 1846-?, brother Jacob F. MATSON 1872-?. Her husband was Fred SCHROLL 1880-1973, buried in Storm Lake. They married 29 May 1907. Their son Robert SCHROLL married Olive J. WALL
