Vesta E. Krebs - Jan. 6, 1921 - May 21, 2005

Vesta E. Krebs, age 84, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on Saturday, May 21, 2005, at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake, Iowa.

Vesta Elaine Paeper was born on January 6, 1921, to Fred and Myrtle (Hunter) Paeper in Newell, Iowa. She lived with her family and attended school in the Newell area.

On March 7, 1938, Vesta was united in marriage to Ray Krebs in Varina, Iowa. To this union, four children were born: Trudy, Rex, Sidney and DeEtte.

She loved playing piano, dancing and visiting with friends. There was nothing she cherished more than spending time with her family. She was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and served on the St. Mary’s Guild.

Those left to cherish Vesta’s memory are her children: Trudy Peterson and her husband Leonard, Rex Krebs and his wife Jennie, Sidney Krebs and his wife Judy and DeEtte Graham and her husband Don; grandchildren: Kari Hayes and her husband Mike, Kimberly Peterson, Kellie Wallace and her husband Lincoln, Chad Krebs and his wife Shelley, Cory Krebs and his wife Susan, Mary Chris Nemes and her husband Billy, Halley Lee and her husband Steve, Amy Fordyce and her husband David, Mitch Krebs and Adam Graham; 19 great- grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.

Vesta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray Krebs; sister and brother-in-law Bob and Vera Mae Williams; grandson Shawn Krebs; and great-grandson Daniel Hayes.

Memorial mass will be Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake with Reverend Bruce Lawler officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

Friends may call on Monday, May 23, 2005, from 3-8:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake where there will be a Legion of Mary Rosary at 3:30 p.m. and a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. The family will be present from 6-8:00 p.m.
