Omar Reyes - Aug. 7, 1980 - Sept. 10, 2004

Omar Reyes, age 24, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died Friday, September 10, 2004, in Storm Lake.

Omar was born on August 7, 1980, to Guillermo and Angelica (Manriguez) Reyes in St. James, Minnesota. He was baptized in St. James and later moved to Storm Lake where he belonged to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Omar graduated from high school while attending an all boys academy. He was attending Iowa Central Community College, Storm Lake campus, and working at Friesen of Iowa.

Omar wanted to be someone important who would someday change the world with his dreams and inspirations. He had a passion for music and enjoyed writing musical lyrics. He was always there to help those who were close to him. His daughter, Ebony, was everything to him.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Guillermo Reyes and Angelica Manriguez; his daughter, Ebony Reyes; his brothers, Leonel Loza and Fabian Reyes; his sister, Corina Reyes; and many extended family members and many friends.

Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Storm Lake Cemetery.

Friends may call anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. on Monday, September 13, 2004, at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake.
