Pearl Triplett, age 97, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died Sunday, April 12, 2009 at Methodist Manor Care Center in Storm Lake.

Services for Mrs. Triplett will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 15th from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, where the family will be present. In addition, a rosary will be recited at 3:30 and a parish vigil service will be held at 7:30 on Wednesday evening, both at the funeral home. Pearl, the daughter of Henry and Frances (Horn) Kleemier, was born November 17, 1911 at Paton, Iowa. She moved with her parents to a farm near Rockwell City, Iowa in 1912, where she grew up and graduated from Rockwell City High School in 1930.

Pearl worked as a domestic until 1934. She was united in marriage to Bernard O’Connell Triplett in Rockwell City on February 15, 1934. To this union seven children were born: Connie, Trent, Allan, Margaret, Ward, Wilbur and Steve.

Pearl was a volunteer at the Senior Center in Storm Lake for many years. She enjoyed cards, bingo, reading and most of all attending her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s activities. She attended her last ball game at the age of 96 years.

A loving wife and devoted mother, Pearl was also a treasured grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her family and all those who knew and loved her.

Pearl is survived by her seven children: Connie Maneman of Lakeside, Iowa; Trent (special friend Barb) Triplett of Dayton, Ohio; Allan Triplett of Chantilly, Virginia; Margaret O’Connor of Peoria, Arizona; Ward (Dee) Triplett of Peoria, Arizona; Wilbur (Karen) Triplett of Storm Lake; and Steve (Jane) Triplett of Iowa City, Iowa; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; extended family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her four brothers, her four sisters, and one grandson.
