Betty Jean Holm, 72, of Jesup and formerly of Tripoli, died Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Unity Point/Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.

Betty Jean was born September 8, 1953, to Vern and Leona (Klunder) Voigts. She grew up in the Clarksville area and received her education in the Clarksville Schools. On December 21, 1979, she was united in marriage with Keith Holm at Grace Lutheran Church in Tripoli. Betty worked at Beatrice in Fredericksburg prior to working at Rockwell in Sumner for many years. She was a long-time member of Grace Lutheran Church in Tripoli and served alongside her husband, Keith on the Tripoli Ambulance Service from 1987-1999. Following Keith’s death in April of 2024, Betty moved to Jesup to be closer to family and while there made many new friends. Betty enjoyed camping with family and friends, trips to the casino and traveling to all of her grandchildren’s activities.

Betty is survived by her four children, Jody Niehaus of Lisbon, Kelly (Jeff) Sankey of Oran, Tammy (Adam) Kaufman of Fairbank, and Lance (Josh) Holm of Gladstone, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Kenedrick (Kenzie) Saulsberry, Kierra Saulsberry, Brady Maurer, Tyler Niehaus, Kinley Saulsberry, Trever Niehaus, Wally Kaufman, and Rachel Kaufman; three great-grandchildren and one on the way, Malani Smith, Kyrie Saulsberry, and Cohen Maurer; brother, Bob (Ardith) Voigts of Clarksville; sister-in-law, Sharon Darrow of Colorado Springs, Colorado; nephew, Brandon Holm of Aplington; niece, Lori Edeker of Allison; and cat, Gracie.

In addition to her parents and husband, Keith, she was preceded in death by her two infant granddaughters, Megan and Morgan Sankey; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Niehaus; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike and Penny Holm.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Becker & Son Funeral Home in Tripoli.
