Konstance "Konnie" Kay Miller, 79, of Hazleton, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021 at the Oldorf Hospice Home in Hiawatha.

Konnie was born Oct. 28, 1941 in Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Jerry and Shirley (Lang) Kirby. She was a 1958 graduate of the Volga High School, Volga. Following graduation Konnie worked as a Nurse's Aide, and later attended Beautician School.

She and Earl W. Miller were united into marriage on Nov. 26, 1960. Konnie later worked as a homemaker, and owner of Konnie's Ceramics. She enjoyed traveling, camping, crafting, and most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Earl "Bill" Miller, Hazleton; four children: Lori Yauslin, Oelwein, Kirby (Jane) Miller, Randalia, Kendall (Liz) Miller, Hazleton, Monica (Alan) Michels, Hazleton; nine grandchildren: Jeremy (Tonya) Yauslin, Jamie Voshell, Dr. Jessica (Chad) Lang, Kayleigh (Josh) Stamp, Marissa Alber and Matt, Kole Alber and Madison, Corben (Sierra) Miller, Drew Michels, and Emma Michels; eight great grandchildren with two on the way; five siblings: Kenny (Peggy) Kirby, Toddville, Kathy (Larry) Hicks, Bella Vista, Arkansas, Anita Grant, Lake Port, California, Jamie Grant, Volga, and Jon Grant, Chicago.

Konnie was preceded in death by her father, Jerry L. Kirby, her mother, Shirley J. Grant, her stepfather, Dr. R.E. Grant, her maternal and paternal grandparents, a daughter Marlo Marie Miller, and a two great grandson Knox Stamp and Beckett Lange.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. The Reiff Family Center of Independence is assisting the family with arrangements.
