, 63, of Lamont, Iowa, passed away Friday morning, October 14, 2022, at Regional Medical Center in Manchester.

Funeral Service: 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at Grace United Methodist Church in Lamont, Iowa, with Rev. Lisa Schroeder officiating.

Visitation: 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday and from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at the Grace United Methodist Church in Lamont.

Interment: Fremont Cemetery, Winthrop, Iowa.

Fawcett-Schmitz Funeral Homes, Winthrop & Lamont, are assisting the family.

A Memorial Fund has been established.

Evelyn Marie Iseli was born on July 22, 1959, in Waukon, Iowa, the daughter of Robert Fred & Judith “Judy” Laurayne (Olson) Iseli. She graduated from Waukon High School in the class of 1977. While in high school, she was a flag bearer with the band and worked at the Rivaire in Lansing. Evelyn continued her education at Northeast Iowa Technical Institute in Calmar with her pinning ceremony in January of 1980. In May of 1980, Evelyn received her Licensed Practical Nurse certification.

Evelyn was united in marriage to Leon Edward Goedken on July 27, 1985, in Lansing, Iowa. They settled on their farm south of Lamont where they lived throughout their marriage. Three children were born to this union: Brittany, Nicole and Brian. Evelyn spent over thirty years as a L.P.N. at St. Francis/Covenant Hospital in Waterloo. Evelyn also spent many years helping her husband, Leon, on the family farm and was involved with 4-H activities where she was a leader and mentor.

Evelyn was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Evelyn loved crocheting gifts for others. She also enjoyed her flowers, candles, playing cards, doing puzzles, cooking, canning and decorating for the holidays.

Evelyn is survived by her Husband: Leon Goedken of Lamont; 3 Children: Brittany Goedken of Lamont, Nicole Goedken of Lamont & Brian Goedken of Independence; Grandson: Bradley Goedken; Father: Robert Iseli of Waukon; Brother: Gary (Laura) Iseli of Waukon; Sister: Wanda (Len) Waters of Waukon; 2 Uncles: Rodney Olson of Lansing & John (Mary) Iseli of Waukon; Aunt: Anita Sorum of Waukon and many Nieces & Nephews.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her grandparents; mother: Judy Iseli; uncles: Jim Olson, Curt Olson, Richard Iseli and Burnell Sorum and an aunt: Joyce Olso
