Harley "Tom" Allen

Independence- Services for Harley "Tom" Allen, 60, were 2 p.m. Saturday at White Funeral Home Chapel, Independence; burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Independence.

He died of natural causes Thursday (May 5) at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret; two sons, Harley Jr. and Glenn, both of Hamlet, N.C.; four grandchildren and a sister Helen Brennan of Springfield, Ill.

Mr. Allen retired from the U.S. Navy and then was employed at Deere & Co., retiring in 1984; a military memorial service will be 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
