Shadron C. Silberstein, 49 years old, of Independence, Iowa, died on Monday, December 13, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. He was born on August 2, 1972, in Primghar, Iowa, the son of Roger Carl and Patricia Sue (Kingsbury) Silberstein. He graduated from East Buchanan High School in Winthrop, Iowa, with the Class of 1990. He attended Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, where he wrestled and earned a degree in Business and Finance. He graduated in 1994. On November 6, 1999, he and the former Tammy Lyn Bellendier were married at the First United Methodist Church in Independence. For 16 years Mr. Silberstein was a machine operator at Quaker Oats in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Independence and the RWDSU Local 110. Mr. Silberstein enjoyed his work and spending time with his family and friends. He liked riding mopeds, camping, wrestling, and social media. He also liked watching the Las Vegas Raiders and Chicago White Sox games on TV.

Mr. Silberstein is survived by his wife, Tammy, 1 son, Shayden Silberstein, at home, 2 brothers, Scott (Lynn) Silberstein of Solon, Iowa, and Quentin (Patsy) Silberstein of Slater, Iowa, 1 sister, Maureen (Jim) Awtry of Montezuma, Iowa, several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Kathy Bellendier of Independence, Iowa, and 1 brother-in-law, Tom Bellendier of Postville, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, Zerin Silberstein, 1 niece, Samantha Silberstein, his father-in-law, Thomas Bellendier, and 2 brothers-in-law, Tim Bellendier and Terry Bellendier.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 18, 2021, at the First United Methodist Church in Independence with Rev. Paul Evans officiating. Visitation will be after 12:00 p.m., noon, at the church on Saturday. Memorials may be directed to the family. White Funeral Home of Independence is in charge of arrangements
