Jane Ann (Johnson) Freitag, 61, of Canton, Illinois, died Saturday, August 28, 2021, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 4, at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Virginia with burial at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Virginia. The family will meet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Due to COVID-19 protocols, masks are required indoors.

Jane was born May 23, 1960, in Independence, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Marilyn Reagan Johnson. She married Kim Freitag on August 9, 2008, in Canton, and he survives.

She is also survived by her parents of Swisher, Iowa; a son, Dan Johnson of Canton; three stepdaughters, Bethany Potthoff (husband, Mike) and their children, Graham and Griffin Potthoff, all of Springfield, Illinois, Brynn Rodriguez (husband, Mike) and their children, Rose and Anders Rodriguez, all of North Hollywood, California, and Breanna Herink (husband, Joe) and their child, Ealin Herink, all of Fishers, Indiana; one brother, Doug Johnson (wife, Cheri) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

Jane was a graduate of Cedar Rapids Prairie High School. She worked for CEFCU in many capacities until July of 2021. She was of the Lutheran faith. Jane enjoyed the outdoors. She loved to hunt, fish, and camp. She enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
