Mark R. Dramstad, 66, of Urbandale, Iowa died Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at his home.

Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, private memorial services will be held at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein, Iowa.

Inurnment: Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, rural Oelwein.

Mark Robert Dramstad was born March 4, 1954, in La Harpe, IL, the son of Sigurd Clifford and Eleanor Marie (Bonar) Dramstad. He graduated from Oelwein Community High School in 1972 and studied Journalism and Mass Communication at Iowa State University. Mark was employed in the IT department of Centennial Trucking in Des Moines, Iowa for more than 30 years. He enjoyed traveling all around the country with his longtime girlfriend Amy Beyer and her extended family. Mark (aka Uncle Schmedley) enjoyed entertaining his nieces and nephews with no holds barred Nerf gun battles and extended games of Risk to take over the world. He was a fan of bluegrass music attending lots of local bluegrass concerts and even ended up learning to play the banjo on his own.

Mark is survived by his 2 brothers: Kent (Maria) Dramstad of Essex Junction, Vermont and David Dramstad of Cedar Rapids; sister: Lisa Miller of Pratt, Kansas; several nieces and nephews; and girlfriend: Amy Beyer.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
